Celebrating the New Year with EveryQueer’s VIQ

New Year’s can be a great time to reflect on the year before and celebrate what’s to come, but it’s always more fun to celebrate with people who make you feel seen and bring you joy. At EveryQueer’s VIQ New Year’s Eve Party, our mission was just that; to host a luxurious party for queer women, transgender, and nonbinary people to feel uplifted and dance into the new year with a group of people who truly get it.

This New Year’s Eve, VIQ took place at Raine’s Law at the William Vale, and included an open bar, the musical stylings of Kye the DJ, and a champagne toast at midnight.

The open bar had craft spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and a specialty cocktail menu by Award-Winning Bar Director, Meaghan Dorman. Stars of the show included the EveryQueer Elixir (Gin, Mint, Lime, and Seltzer), the Bartlett Spur (Reposado Tequila, Spiced Pear, Lemon, Honey, and Angostura Bitters), and the Peak Position (Bourbon, Swedish Punsch, Cherries, Lemon, and Cinnamon).

VIQ also had a wonderful selection of food, including passed hors d’oeuvres (the vegetable spring rolls were a favorite of ours), filet mignon, salmon, and vegetable paella.

Decorated with balloons and stocked with NYE hats, noise-makers, and more, VIQ made sure not to miss out on the classic NYE festivities, while elevating it to a luxury experience with found family.

Community, love, and excitement could be felt in every corner of the party. Those we spoke to said they were having a great time and there were lots of smiles, drinking, and dancing throughout the night. New and familiar faces filled the venue, including Justice Roes, who put together a lovely reel of the event.

Below are some more of our favorite photos from the night, taken by Vita Phoenix.

Didn’t make it out to this VIQ? Don’t worry, we hold them quarterly! We’ll be sure to post the details on the upcoming one, and we hope to see you join the queer fun.
