Best of the Web: Queer Porn That Doesn’t Suck

While we have more access to porn than ever before, the vast majority of it can leave you scrolling through clips for hours or unclear about what to buy that you will really love. As a sex therapist and educator, it one of my sworn duties to help folks find what turns them on so they can get expansive with their desire and get off in ways and to things that feel awesome. Below, I have compiled a list of great sites that have quality content that is less likely to drain your time and some info about why I love them.  Happy porning all! And for more info about porn, sex, relationships or getting in touch with and harnessing your desire, contact me at thesomaticsextherapist.com!

Lust Cinema

Erica Lust knows what’s up when it comes to hot sex that focuses on the pleasure of the people in it. Having been awarded multiple times for her work, Erica Lust has managed to hit the sweet spot between authenticity, feminism and the porn people want to get off it. There is a wide range of scenarios, set-ups, and vibes and I oftentimes encourage folks to watch this porn with a date or significant other because it is not alienating but rather sensual and inclusive.

The Crash Pad Series

You may have heard of Crash Pad before or seen it pop up on other Best Of lists and that’s because it deserves all the accolades for being really great smut. With a super-hot queer focus, Crash Pad invented a genre of porn that consistently delivers. The scenario is simple; folks show up to the “crash pad” and fuck in all the ways they want. The angle is voyeuristic enough to feel titillating but not non-consensual and the performers are in their bodies and in their pleasure. The site has been up for more than ten years so there is content for EVERYONE (so much to choose from!) and they update it frequently so it’s well worth the subscription.

Kink.com

Kink is one of the world’s largest BDSM porn sites and for good reason; Kink.com has just about cornered the market for kink, fetish and BDSM porn through learning what people want and giving it to them. Kink has made an empire on the simple exploration of desire. While originally the desire was focused on the male gaze and what guys wanted and would pay for, it’s come a long way in exploring queerness, sexual identity, women’s desire and creating and making sites that are directed and run by women with a focus on the orgasm of folks of all genders. At this point, the backlog of porn and the archives are enough reason to join while the sites keep churning out new and interesting content.  While it is a BDSM focused porn producer, Kink does offer a spectrum from the wild to mild that has something for everyone if you take the time to spelunk around and find it. It should be worth that while.

Wicked

Looking for porn that feels, well, porny but also has high production values and performers who are into their jobs and sex? Head over to Wicked where they have been making porn in the porny style you might be used to for decades now.  Wicked is the home of notorious performers like Stormy Daniels and Jessica Drake, who personally I think is at her best in her sex-ed series that explores various kinds of sex and how to have it and the authentic desires of the performers in that series.  You might have to do some digging through this site to find any diversity, the bodies and folks are pretty close to traditional porn tropes but by buying on Wicked you know you’ll have clear shots, different positions and again a more classic style of porn that might be what your body needs to get off.

Bright Desire

Bright Desire is feminist porn for women and men. Here you’ll find a different kind of porn: re-visioned, feminist, artistic and positive. Bright Desire celebrates all that’s good about sex – intimacy, pleasure, laughter, connection, fantasy, and fun. It features a variety of adult content that includes all orientations, though the focus is on heterosexual sex. It’s for everyone seeking a better kind of erotica.” And if that is your want and mission, this is a great website for interesting storylines, the connection between scene partners and content that you can masturbate to over and over.  Another award winner, Bright Desire continues to explore what people want to make when they make their own porn and what people want to watch that represents their sexuality and sense of sexual self.
