The five-day festival welcomes lesbian, bisexual, queer and trans women, along with allies, for pool parties, drag performances, art and waterfront adventures.
Key West Womenfest returns September 2 through 6, 2026, with five days of parties, performances and creative experiences across the island.
This year’s theme, “Lost Women in the Arts,” celebrates women whose creative work has been overlooked, left unfinished or pushed out of the spotlight. It gives the weekend a thoughtful creative focus while still leaving plenty of room for dancing, flirting and getting a little ridiculous.
The festival begins Wednesday with a welcome party at American Legion Post 168 featuring local artists, live music, portraits and raffles. On Thursday, BruceKey will lead an interactive Drag King Bootcamp covering everything from creating a persona to developing stage presence. Three participants will then have the chance to perform alongside professional drag kings Justin Case and Joey Night at the Greeen Goddess & Kings Party later that evening.
Womenfest also offers several ways to get out on the water. Attendees can watch the sunset from an all-inclusive sail aboard Argo Navis or join a clothing-optional sandbar and snorkeling trip with Blu Q. Anyone who wants to give back while they’re in town can also join Reef Relief for a waterfront cleanup at the Key West Historic Seaport.

Art takes center stage on Saturday during the Lost Women, Found Art Gallery Trolley Tour. The tour will visit five women-owned and women-managed galleries, giving attendees the chance to meet local artists and learn more about the women behind Key West’s creative community.
Saturday night belongs to the annual Womenfest Prom. This year’s “Lost Women in Music” theme celebrates groundbreaking women artists from the ’80s, ’90s and today. Choose your era, dress accordingly and come ready for prom photos and a full night of dancing.
The rest of the weekend includes pool parties, the femme-focused “Babes For Days” cabaret, the private Lost Women Throwdown Jell-O Wrestling competition and the “You CAN Sit With Us” Drag Brunch. Womenfest closes Sunday with the Original Tea Dance at La Te Da, featuring DJ Rude Girl.
