I Kissed a Girl Season 2 Finally Has a Release Date

After months of waiting, fans of I Kissed a Girl finally know when the show’s second season will arrive.

The BBC has announced that Season 2 of the sapphic dating series will premiere on June 23 on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. Hosted by Dannii Minogue, the show returns with 10 new singles looking for connection, romance, and perhaps even love in a stunning Italian masseria. Catch up on season 1 if you haven’t already.

The format remains the same. Contestants meet for the first time with a kiss before getting to know one another, creating a dating show that places queer women and their relationships at the center of the story.

Since its debut in 2024, I Kissed a Girl has become a rare bright spot in the reality dating landscape. While LGBTQ representation on television has improved in recent years, opportunities to see queer women leading a mainstream dating show remain surprisingly uncommon. The series has earned a devoted following by offering something many viewers have been waiting for: a dating show built specifically for sapphic audiences.

Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, with the first four available to stream on June 23. Narrator Charley Marlowe will also return, and according to reports, viewers can expect to see more of her on screen this season.

The BBC has not yet revealed the Season 2 cast, though fans likely won’t have to wait much longer. The new season will feature 10 single women looking for love when the show returns later this month.

The new season also arrives with a bittersweet footnote. Earlier this year, the BBC confirmed that the I Kissed a… franchise will conclude after this season. For now, though, there’s a new cast to meet, a new season to watch, and a June 23 premiere date officially marked on the calendar.
